Welcome to the end of July and the very beginning of August 2023!

Starting strong, we’ll have a Full Moon in Aquarius on the 1st. It’s time to connect with your sense of independence, worldly awareness, and the eccentricities that you possess that make the world a better place.

Beginning the month with a Full Moon can seem exciting, but you also need to remember that everything (including astrological changes and movements) is just what you make of it. In order to harness this powerful energy, you need to… well, harness it. Intentionally use it!

We’ll get a stronger idea of what the energetic landscape of this week looks like for you now using the Tarot — then you’ll know the exact kind of “harnessing” that’s right for you.

Aries

The Sun (Reversed)

Aries is not feeling wildly fresh or… actually very wild at all.

The Sun reversed dims your typical bright, spontaneous Aries light. You aren’t as connected with your sense of self; thus, feelings of joy and enthusiasm are dimmed.

While this is a temporary slump, it’s still a frustrating one to have at a time like this (as you may be tempted to be productive and your usual go-getter self).

But don’t force yourself into being anything or doing anything you’re not feeling up to.

Taurus

The Devil (Reversed)

Taurus is trying to move away from what holds them back.

This week is all about honestly examining your burdens and baggage. The Devil is no fun, weighing down your ability to reach for new things and centering only the uncomfortable difficulties that have accumulated throughout the years.

As the card is reversed, it’s obvious that you aren’t interested in dwelling in the past.

You want to move forward, and you may be using the energy of this Full Moon for renewal and fresh starts.

Gemini

10 of Swords (Reversed)

Gemini needs to accept the past, but it’s not as easy as it seems.

The 10 of Swords reversed indicates that some Geminis may be in denial about what’s really over and done with. You’re not ready to let go, even if the Universe is asking you to.

On the other hand, other Geminis may be aware that this energy of harsh endings is looming but are just overall having a hard time healing from it all.

Either way, it’s time to reflect honestly about what you’ve been through and begin forging a path to new beginnings through raw and real self-reflection.

Cancer

3 of Wands

Cancer, an optimistic outlook will serve you well this week.

With the 3 of Wands at your side, it’s important to remain patient, open-minded, and optimistic about your odds. The future awaits, and you have many ambitions that have still yet to really pan out.

However, you’ve already made your intentions clear and generally have an idea of what you want, so there’s no need to second-guess that part.

While you wait for your metaphorical ships to come back to port, it’s important to keep your eye on the prize and stay bright, optimistic, and open-armed.

Leo

2 of Cups

Leo will benefit from keeping their heart open to others this week.

The 2 of Cups hints that love is in the air, but it has to be a two-way street. Right now, the energy of the Full Moon can open you up to new levels of authenticity, or the light can make you feel too seen and vulnerable.

Spoiler alert: recoiling back into your shell isn’t the answer. Leos aren’t known to stray from the spotlight, but you may be surprised how tempting it is to hide away when feelings are involved.

Be honest with how you feel and keep an open heart and mind to others that are trying to connect with you this week.

Virgo

6 of Cups (Reversed)

Earth to Virgo? The present day is calling your name.

The 6 of Cups reversed indicates that you may be getting caught up in the past too easily. At first, it may start as innocent reminiscing — Full Moons sometimes make us emotional and nostalgic like that.

While there may indeed be something to learn from your old memories, the whole point of these strong emotions is to channel them into something productive for the present day.

Remember what you still have to work with… right in front of you.

Libra

Wheel of Fortune

Libra is taking the phrase “trust the process” in a literal way this week.

In other words, the Wheel of Fortune is making you trust that process, whatever it may be.

That’s the thing — the Universe sometimes doesn’t specify what you’re meant to be trusting, yet you’re called to trust the powers that may be regardless. This means releasing control, not falling into self-doubt, and ignoring the impulse that tells you to second-guess everything.

This week is about luck, fate, and surrendering some control. Fortune favors those who stress less…and trust more.

Scorpio

The Moon (Reversed)

Scorpio, mystery abounds, and it’s not always in a fun way.

You’re not a sign who would usually shy away from a little secrecy and mystery. In fact, the intensity of The Moon is something that you tend to resonate with easily, and its mysteries are more enticing than they are fear-inducing.

That said, the reversal of this card notes that not everything needs to be revealed right away, and you may find that trying to understand and problem-solve things at this time will be fruitless.

So this week, let go and let yourself embrace a bit of the unknown.

Sagittarius

Queen of Cups (Reversed)

Sagittarius is deeply in their feels this week.

The Queen of Cups reversed is a surefire sign that your heart is wound deeply; you’re experiencing a lot all at once, and it’s easy to feel like you’re not in control over your very own emotions.

Full Moons can be emotional for all of us, but it seems like this moon event will be hitting many Sagittarians particularly hard.

Remember to hold space for yourself and your heart, and remember that it’s okay not to feel okay.

Capricorn

The Star

Ready to open yourself up to brand-new opportunities, Capricorn?

Well, in some ways, you probably have been ready for a long time. The Star feels like an overdue time of healing and prosperity, mostly in a spiritual and an emotional sense.

As the Universe holds space for the new parts of yourself that emerge during this time, remember that you are an intuitive being and that your heart holds deep truths.

The new opportunities that you seek may not be so material at first and will stem from the version of yourself that is being brought to life during this exciting time.

Aquarius

5 of Cups

Lost, confused, and disappointed… Aquarius is reckoning with a variety of uncomfortable emotions this week.

The 5 of Cups centers on themes of loss and discomfort within the heart. Whether they’re past or present disappointments, it’s likely that you’ll be focused on everything that’s been “missing” lately.

Being aware and honest about those gaps can help you make improvements moving forward. However, make sure that that’s the intention.

There is a difference between dwelling in the past and using it for a better future.

Pisces

The Hanged Man (Reversed)

Pisces is struggling to keep still and trust their intuition right now.

With The Hanged Man reversed, it can feel like everything you know is literally upside-down. You know, logically, it’s important to trust yourself and hear out your true inner voice.

However, it’s also easier said than done. You may also feel restless, lost, and disoriented even when you’re trying to do the right thing.

While the process is difficult, it’s not impossible. The cards acknowledge some of the struggles and say: “Hey, that’s okay. Keep trying anyway!”
