“The card that represents your life right now is THE DEVIL!
Uh oh, when the Devil shows up, a problem needs addressing, and the longer it is left to its own devices, the more it will grow. The Devil represents the fifteenth card of the Major Arcana and represents addictions and aspects of the material world which are feeding our Ego at the expense of our Soul.
This is not to say the Devil is all-bad – no card is all-good or all-bad, and the Devil can also represent wild, fun nights, an exciting sex life, or an indulgence of material things which can bring great pleasure. But too much pleasure is never a good thing, and it’s too easy to fall down that slippery slope from pleasure into addiction.
When the Devil shows up, we are called to question our values and morals. Have we been staying true to them, or have temptations been getting the better of us? The Devil is very inviting – he promises to lure you in with everything you ever dreamed of. The thing is, if you take him up on his offer, you come to find that everything you ever dreamed of may not be what you expected, and once you’re in it, it is challenging to break free from the Devil’s chains that bind you.
However, the Devil is a reminder that you can break free of those chains if you choose to. Analyzing the aspects of your life and self that are Devil in nature can help you figure out how to break free if you choose.
But be warned – the Devil does not let go easily!”
