When any court card appears in your reading, such as the Knight of Swords, it often indicates that you are dealing with a specific person, rather than a situation or outlying circumstances. The Knight of Swords often points towards someone who has matured beyond their youth, the kind we see in the pages, but has yet to achieve the mastery inherent to the queen or king of the suit, so you may be dealing with someone who is neither young nor old, but still very much in the process of achieving whatever it is they are hoping to accomplish. They have already experienced the planting of a seed that the page was responsible for, but they still have a ways to go before they can sit upon a throne, secure in their authority.

Therefore, you are likely dealing with a forceful figure who is eager to act upon their ideas, and share their message with the world. The suit of Swords rules our intellect and how we communicate with others, so this knight likely has an important message to deliver, or a project they are very adamant about seeing through to the end. In this card, we see the knight charging forth into battle, their sword raised, so this person is clearly confident in their abilities, and courageous in the face of their enemies.

However, it is important that this bravery does not become recklessness, or else it can backfire, to the detriment of this knight’s plans and ambitions. Someone may be acting hasty or rebellious when the Knight of Swords appears, and are best to keep your wits about you, lest that person create trouble for you, or if you yourself are this knight, charging forth. Do not trip yourself up!
