Your Weekly Tarotscope for April 17 – 23, 2023

five blue tarot cards spread on a white wooden table with candles and crystals

Take it from us: this is one week you won’t want to miss.

We love heading into Taurus season as much as any astrological season shift, and we’ll get that sweet Earthy energy on the 20th. If you were missing out on that down-to-earth practicality, you’ll finally get it.

However, the main event worth keeping your eye on is the Solar eclipse happening on the same day, and an Aries Solar eclipse is one that will certainly propel us into new beginnings and heights.

So, with the ability to sustain long-term goals on the one hand and the initial shove you might have been needing on the other… this can easily be a powerful week to get things done. Let’s see what the Tarot has to say about it all for you on a more personal level!

Your Essential Weekly Tarotscope

Aries

Page of Wands

Aries is clearly vibing with the energy of the Solar eclipse this week.

The Page of Wands shows you coming through with a vibrant, youthful, and adventurous spirit, ready to take action and soar to new heights.

You’re feeling particularly idealistic and embracing a go-getter mentality this week. Now suddenly feels like the time to act a bit more on impulse rather than holding yourself back.

And with that… there’s not much else to say but so much to do!

Taurus

3 of Cups

Taurus, this is an excellent week for enjoying the company of others and opening up your heart.

The 3 of Cups beckons you toward opportunities for heart-to-heart communication, fun, and affection. Now is a great time to be vulnerable and wear that heart on your sleeve.

Even though you may have been hurt in the past, now is not the time to hold back too much on meeting new people or making connections.

You may be surprised by the love that is headed your way, Taurus.

Gemini

The Tower

You know the drill when The Tower is on the table. Gemini is amidst the chaos this week!

This dreaded card may be a blessing in disguise, as the energy of the Solar eclipse can open up many opportunities… while also exposing many areas where old energy needs to go.

It’s better to get it out of the way now before you’re ten steps into your new plans and ideas and find that something is still holding you back.

So, take this week as a time of cleansing — and even if you don’t, the Universe may still do that cleansing for you.

Cancer

2 of Pentacles

Cancer is juggling a variety of things at the moment.

With the 2 of Pentacles, your time, responsibilities, and skills are all whirling around in your hands as you attempt to juggle everything at once.

This is clearly a busy period for our crab friends, and while it may feel overwhelming at times, the tone of this card is nonetheless optimistic and affirmative.

You may be handling a lot, but only because you can do so.

Leo

Page of Pentacles (Reversed)

Leo may want to complete their responsibilities and tasks this week, but you can’t accept that temptation!

The Page of Pentacles reversed presents the conundrum of feeling overwhelmed for some Leos and potentially underqualified for others.

Insecurity may not be what you’re known for, but this week you may feel like your plans aren’t good enough to proceed with, and it’s just easier to rest, procrastinate, or not work at all.

Use the energy of the Solar eclipse to kickstart you back into who you are, Leo: confident, capable, and ready to take on the world.

Virgo

Queen of Swords (Reversed)

Virgo has been feeling a little down in the dumps lately with all these reversed Queens.

We continue on this streak of reversed Queen cards with the Queen of Swords reversed. This week, it’s all about wrestling with your own mind.

This week, it may feel like your own mind is the very obstacle and issue that you’re dealing with the most. Questions are aplenty, and answers aren’t coming easily. And while we’re at it, overthinking is running rampant too.

Remember that you don’t have to be 100% in control over everything — including your own mind — to be confident and strong. We all have “off” periods.

Yes, even you, Virgo.

Libra

7 of Wands

Libra is whacking down the competition and not taking “no” as an answer.

This week, the 7 of Wands shows that you’re standing your ground, especially regarding the people, plans, and ideals you care about the most and hold dear to your heart.

You know that not everyone agrees with you, and some of your ideas for your life are even unconventional or unpopular, and as a Libra, it may be tempting to cave into the people-pleasing too.

But… this week is about demonstrating that fighting spirit and showing up for what feels right.

Scorpio

6 of Cups (Reversed)

Scorpio may find themselves stuck in the past this week.

The 6 of Cups can be a good reminder of memories and core pieces of who you are deep down — we can all use a good review of the past now and then.

However, the reversal of this card indicates that you may just be stewing in old habits and memories that no longer need to be reviewed.

If you find yourself in this position, just be honest with yourself this week. Is it innocent nostalgia, or are you fully detaching yourself from the present?

Sagittarius

4 of Cups (Reversed)

Sagittarius has been bored and stagnant but is ready to shake off that icky energy.

The 4 of Cups reversed shows that you’re no longer willing to just sit around doing “nothing” — whether it’s been stewing in old cycles and memories, procrastinating, or avoiding your true emotional state.

Ultimately, there’s no real shame in it. We all find ourselves there at some point or another. For adventurous Sagittarius, it’s just incredibly essential that you eventually move outside of that box.

After all, what’s an archer without some momentum in their aim?

Capricorn

5 of Pentacles (Reversed)

Capricorn may be needing to move away from a loss or disappointment.

But that’s often easier said than done, of course. The 5 of Cups reversed highlights the fact that you may have recently experienced some difficulties with finances and your career in particular.

And at the end of the day, you’re always capable of bouncing back. However, you have to allow yourself to do so.

Process the disappointment as you may need to, but trust that with some time and patience, you’ll be back up on your feet again.

Aquarius

The Fool

Ready for a reset, Aquarius?

Being the very beginning of the Tarot, the Fool will offer you that fresh start if you seek it. New opportunities, clean slates, and the world is your oyster… it sounds nice, doesn’t it?

The catch is that you must be willing to make mistakes and accept that you may not know everything once you begin this new journey.

Loosening your grip on your ego, practicing forgiveness with yourself, and being willing to learn are the only tools you need to take with you.

Pisces

The Magician

Pisces had The Magician on their side last week and again this week.

This passionate, creative energy blessing your world twice in a row for two weeks can only mean one thing: you’re truly destined to forge and create a great path of your own right now.

And remember: it’s not about just honing in on one kind of magic only.

This card is multidimensional and multipurpose — think about how love, career, and personal well-being align and create the magic you are.
