We’re now into 2024, and this year can be more intense for some zodiac signs than for others. Which signs get the most intense energy, and why? These 6: Aquarius, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Taurus, Pisces, and Libra.

Pluto in Aquarius is Extremely Intense for Aquarius
Passionate planet Pluto is the planet of intensity and is in Aquarius now until September 1st, 2024, and then comes back to Aquarius on November 19th, 2024, to stay for almost 20 years.
Pluto in your sign is an intense experience because the passionate energy of Pluto is focused squarely on YOU. Pluto in your Sun sign means you’re about to undergo a massive transformation of some sort over the next two decades of your life, and how things look now can be veeeery different from how they’ll look by the end.
This can be empowering,g and you can take control in new ways, but there can also be an adjustment period where you have to get used to Pluto in Aquarius. This began in 2023. However, it was just a couple of months, so that was just a taste.
Pluto is in Aquarius for a longer period in 2024, so you get a longer tango with this placement. You’re new dance partners and have to learn and get used to how each of you moves.
I am speaking of this for an Aquarius Sun; however,if you have ANY natal planets in Aquarius, those planets will be targeted by Pluto, and whatever those planets rule, you’ll likely undergo a massive transformation during Pluto’s tour of Aquarius.
This can be strongest if you have an Aquarius Moon since the Moon rules your emotional self and, like the Sun, is considered a basic part of who you are astrologically. There can be intense changes in what you need emotionally, with home and family matters at your core.
If your placements are early in Aquarius, you get impacted now and for the next few years. Those of you Aquarius Suns born before January 25th get the first hit and can feel Pluto strongly in 2024.

The End of Pluto in Capricorn Gives One Last Intense Push to Sagittarius & Capricorn in 2024
Pluto has been in Capricorn for over a decade, and Capricorn has been the one who has been targeted by Pluto’s intensity and push for transformation. You should look and feel very differently from how you did in 2008, when Pluto in Capricorn started, and are hopefully more powerful and in control.
Pluto is back in Capricorn for one last hurrah from September 1st to November 19th, and this is one last push for you to get in tune with your personal power and finish any lingering transformations. It won’t be a quiet push, though, with Pluto at a sensitive position that entire time (anaretic), so it’ll be big for action that needs to be taken while you still have the chance. Be wise!
For Sagittarius, Pluto in Capricorn puts Pluto in a sensitive sector for you, one that governs stability and security, confidence and self-esteem, and finances and resources. This transit is notoriously difficult as it challenges anything superficial and forces you to transform the values that you build your life on, sometimes tearing it all down to start over.
You should (hopefully) be through the worst of it by now since it’s nearly over, and you should (hopefully) have a much more solid sense of self, believe in your abilities, be stable and secure, know what’s worth your time and show yourself respect, and move through life with greater confidence.
That last tour for Pluto in Capricorn later in the year can highlight anything left to work on. You can quickly jump to action, understand exactly what to do, and get it done.
This can also be a period of deep reflection, especially if there’s nothing left for you to do. You can use the intensity of Pluto to understand what has come to pass what you’ve learned, and get ready to move on, finally, as someone strong and formidable.
Uranus & Pluto Tag-Team Taurus
Taurus still has to deal with change-maker Uranus touring your sign for all of 2024, but this is the last year as it starts to make its escape in midyear 2025. Uranus wants you to make big changes now that you haven’t had the chance to thus far, and there can be a stronger push by Uranus in Taurus to do this.
Pluto in Aquarius comes in and gives Uranus some help in that department. Pluto is the ruler of transformation, so when these two gang up, it can create some intense, powerful changes in your life.
Pluto in Aquarius puts Pluto at an angle called a square to your sign, a challenging aspect that forces you to look inward, learn, and make changes from your core and out. This can be strong, upsetting, and disruptive.
It doesn’t have to be, though! And if you’ve gotten used to some of the changing energy Uranus has brought you, you can go forth into the changes without feeling so scared or holding yourself back.
This is big change energy, and it has the potential to provide a major transformation that empowers and uplifts you. Work with it, and make it happen.
Pisces Gets Targeted by Hyper Neptune & an Eclipse
The natural ruling planet for Pisces is Neptune, and Neptune is touring Pisces, so it’s been a strong transit amplifying Pisces energy (imagination, spirituality, intuition, the hidden, compassion, empathy). This is nearing the end, though, and to that end, Neptune is at a highly sensitive position called the anaretic degree for four months in 2024.
Every zodiac sign comprises 30 degrees (360 degrees total), with 0 degrees being the first degree and 29 degrees being the last degree of each sign. 29 degrees in the anaretic degree can be incredibly intense energy when the transit (moving) planets are at this degree.
Neptune is at 29 degrees of Pisces from May 2nd to September 3rd 2024. This is a double punch for Pisces because it’s both your ruler and in your sign, and you can feel this really strongly.
However, Hyper Pisces energy can be difficult to discern, and the fog can set in and make it hard to see things clearly. This is likely to be the case for everyone when Neptune is anaretic in Pisces but is tenfold for you Pisces peeps (especially Sun, Moon, and Rising).
This is complicated by Saturn, the planet of reality, also touring your sign all year and demanding more realism and practicality. Saturn and Neptune are kind of sparring in 2024, each trying to get your attention, Pisces.
With Saturn in Pisces, it’s important to make sure you’re learning any lessons you need to and doing things the right way and for the right reasons. You have to be clear with what you’re doing to ensure you’re doing it the right way and be honest with yourself about your motivations.
Pisces also connects to the past, which can be huge for focusing on your past, baggage, and karma. This can weigh pretty heavily while Neptune is anaretic in your sign, and you have to work through carefully to please Saturn.
A Lunar Eclipse occurs in your sign on September 17th, so it’s just after Neptune is no longer anaretic. However, it’s also conjunct (aligned with) Neptune, so the strong Neptune energy doesn’t end once Neptune is no longer anaretic and continues for about another month afterward.
The Lunar Eclipse is likely to spotlight more of the baggage and karma (and I suspect we’ll experience way more karmic events around this time), and that natural Pisces intuition you have is probably going to be blaring on a loudspeaker for you.
This can be intense, but it can also help you clear the way for the future. Everyone is starting a new cycle thanks to Pluto entering a new sign (and Neptune and Uranus will follow next year), so going forward with less baggage and karmic weight can be the smartest thing you could possibly do.

The Lunar Eclipse in Libra can be more intense emotionally, and it’s the only one in your sign for this eclipse set, so it can pack a bigger punch since it’s one-and-done. Make sure to take care of yourself emotionally and tend to your emotional needs.
That eclipse is excellent for focusing on hitting new heights and achieving something you started around the 2023 Libra Solar Eclipse, and you can finish up, clear out, and make room.
