Your Sign’s Weekly Tarotscope for August 7 – 13, 2023

Been looking for a break? Just one moment where you can breathe, catch your breath, and collect your energy?

This week may be the ideal one to do so, as there are very few astrological happenings worth noting. We have a Last Quarter Moon in Taurus on the 8th, helping us practically reflect upon any loose ends and make final touches on any projects, but overall nothing too crazy is being mixed up right now.

This means that a lot of this week is essentially a clean slate. You don’t have too many major astrological events that need your attention (or at least… no new ones!).

So, we’ll check in with the Tarot to see what you can do with this “clean slate.” Of course, just because the stars are quieter doesn’t mean that the cards have nothing to say!

Your Weekly Tarotscope for August 7 – 13, 2023

Aries

Queen of Pentacles (Reversed)

Aries needs to find their footing again.

The Queen of Pentacles reversed hints that you may be feeling scattered when it comes to your time, money, and resources. You don’t feel in control, and some of you may feel entirely at a loss with where to go from here.

What you really need is a stronger relationship with your own sense of abundance, what fulfills you materially, and your confidence in your ability to get what you want.

Check in with yourself to see what’s missing internally, and then identify what may be missing in the material world.

Taurus

8 of Wands

Taurus, this week has good things to offer… but blink, and you just might miss it.

With the 8 of Wands, communication and the general pace of the week are moving at lightning speeds.

This is a powerful time to say what’s on your mind and make headway in your goals, but you have to stay on your toes and roll with opportunities when they arise.

While Taurus is known for their slow and steady approach, there’s nothing slow and steady about this week for you. Are you ready to adapt?

Gemini

Judgement (Reversed)

Gemini is disconnected from their own wisdom and vision this week.

The Judgement reversed card is not exactly a fun sight. You may feel confused, disoriented, and more prone to second-guessing your own thoughts and insights.

For many, it may especially feel like your sense of what is right for you is very disconnected from what the world thinks is right for you.

You need to find a way to bridge those two perspectives again — yours and the community that surrounds you. Where’s your common ground?

Cancer

King of Swords (Reversed)

Cancer, this may be a week to slow down and maybe bite your tongue too.

Your head may feel cloudy and overwhelmed with King of Swords reversed, although simultaneously, it may feel like you have hundreds of things to say and do.

However, you don’t want to make your next steps from a place of desperation or cloudiness. Put major conversations and decisions on hold for now.

Confidence and clarity are key, so hold onto your patience until you find those things again.

Leo

5 of Wands

Leo is flying through chaos and conflict.

The 5 of Wands indicates that others around you may be prone to arguments, picking fights, and stirring the pot. You may also feel more on edge right now, and it can seem like everyone is intentionally trying to tick you off.

The Universe could be testing your patience — are you willing to put down your weapons and let things roll off your back?

Hint: there’s not much to be gained in engaging with the chaos. Knowing this, how will you choose to approach it?

Virgo

The Fool

Hello, Virgo! It’s time to wake up and make your next big moves.

The Fool is a bright, positive sign for Virgos who are looking to make big changes. You’re really vibing with the idea of a clean slate right now — everything is new, fresh, and ripe for the taking.

While this also means that you may feel like you don’t know what your next steps should be, that’s what makes all of this so exciting.

Keep an open mind and heart, and be ready to learn. Fortune favors the Virgos, who are able to not take everything too seriously right now and just roll with the punches.

Libra

10 of Swords

Libra is having a bit of a struggle moment this week… but it’s all for the best.

Although the 10 of Swords indicates a harsh moment of release and letting go, there’s also a kind of catharsis within that release.

In acknowledging the pain, the sun rises over the rough scenery, and a new dawn begins. Endings are how we find new beginnings, after all.

Be receptive to being honest about where you may be hurting, need healing or cleansing, or can be letting go of old things weighing you down.

Scorpio

7 of Wands (Reversed)

Scorpio is tired and running on an empty tank.

The 7 of Wands reversed is a harsh reminder that you can’t always do it all yourself. Life is not a battle that is worth fighting solo, at least not 24/7.

You need to give yourself a break in one way or another, whether this means slowing down and resting entirely, asking for help from others, or maybe some combination of both.

If you don’t find a way to slow down now, you may crash and burn.

Sagittarius

The Tower (Reversed)

Sagittarius, you’re going through changes and transformations, but they’re not all visible.

For you, we sense that The Tower reversed may indicate that the grand-scale upheaval that this card usually depicts may be happening inside of you rather than outside.

You may be suppressing or pushing inside the feelings that things need to change, partially not quite ready to make those steps.

Those inner stirrings are the first steps to understanding what change needs to look like on the outside, but you have to be willing to honestly see and reflect upon them.

Capricorn

King of Pentacles (Reversed)

Although Capricorn is generally known for their practical and responsible disposition, this week is a struggle in that area.

With the King of Pentacles reversed you’re trying to get a grip on your financial, career-focused, and material plans forward.

However, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows — you’re also hitting setbacks and snags, some of which are entirely self-confidence-related. You may feel overwhelmed, stressed, and insecure about what you’re meant to do next.

Everyone goes through moments like these, and they’re ultimately what makes you human. Make sure to work through those difficult feelings instead of brushing past them.

Aquarius

Ace of Swords

Finally, we have a breakthrough for Aquarius.

After some weeks of tumultuous cards of trial and error and many setbacks, the Ace of Swords points to clarity, new ideas, and even new questions (rather than fixating on the same old stuff over and over again).

The key is not to feel like you need to latch onto whatever comes through this week. Let new things flow in and take only what feels right. Nothing has to be permanent.

Just keep an open mind and heart, and stay aware and alert of what hits your mind this week.

Pisces

4 of Wands (Reversed)

Pisces is re-evaluating what makes them feel secure and safe.

The 4 of Wands reversed notes that when it comes to your friendships, community, and relationships with loved ones, you may need to reconsider how you’re establishing those commitments.

Is the way you’re giving out your time and energy sustainable? Do you feel uplifted when you’re with the people you love?

These are the kinds of questions that need answers right now before you proceed.

Use the Magic of the Tarot

Working with your Tarotscope may involve journaling about its insights, reflecting upon what you’d like to change (and how you’d plan to do so), and meditating on anything that doesn’t make sense to you just yet.

You can come back to your Tarotscope at any time for that self-reflection and insight, but there are other ways to use this age-old, mystical divinatory craft.

Whether trying out a daily Tarot reading or maybe picking up your deck of Tarot cards, the ways you can connect with your Tarotscope (and Tarot in general) are infinite.
