Your October 2022 Tarotscopes

A spooky chill washes over the world around us, leaves on trees begin to fall, and the tingling sensation that something special and mysterious is in the air creeps in… of course, it must be the month of October!

There’s always something a bit magical and mystical about this time of the year, and it can seem like the veil that separates us from the unseen begins to lift all the more clearly. It’s a potent time for celebration and embracing some of the magic within you.

Festivities aside, there are a couple of other things to be excited about for this October in particular. For one thing, MercuryPluto, and Saturn will all go direct throughout the month, one by one. Work completed during these tumultuous retrogrades can now be rewarded.

Clearly, there’s a lot to celebrate this month. You’ll want to get the details on how things go for you on a more personal level, which is why we consulted the Tarot (with one card from the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana each) for those deets.

Your October 2022 Tarotscope

Aries

The Lovers (Reversed) & Queen of Wands

Aries is finding love this month… in themselves.

The Lovers reversed indicates that there might be hiccups and confusion regarding many external stuff — choices and crossroads, relationships and connections, and sometimes an overlapping of all of the above.

And yet, the Queen of Wands shows you as being as confident and in your power as ever. Perhaps you can think of this as you rise above the rough, finding yourself even amidst some chaos and confusion.

Of course, what else is new for the brave, bold ram?

Taurus

The Hierophant & Knight of Cups

Taurus, this month is all about establishing a firm foundation for yourself (and in a fun way).

The Hierophant already resonates with the Taurus desire to plant roots and have a clear grasp on where things belong — this is a card of structure and internal (emotional and spiritual) organization, and the steady bull is already well-versed in these things.

You’re embracing that alongside the more emotional aspect of things with the Knight of Cups also on the table, perhaps bringing in a bit of romance, friendship, and imagination as well.

In some ways, this month involves familiar themes and routines, but you’re still managing to bring in something fresh and engaging too!

Gemini

The Devil & Ace of Wands (Reversed)

Buckle in, Gemini — this month is a doozy for you.

We kick off first with The Devil, where it’s clear that this month involves getting down and dirty to a degree. AKA, you might be wrestling with some baggage and difficulties (that you possibly even thought you put to rest a while ago).

It doesn’t stop there because the Ace of Wands reversed hints that you’re also going to have a hard time randomly starting up new things or pursuing fresh paths. This makes sense, though, because ultimately, this month is about putting the old to rest.

Of course, that doesn’t make it any less frustrating, and it’s important to hold space for yourself when you experience that discomfort.

Cancer

The Fool & 8 of Wands (Reversed)

Cancer, this month is about going new and going bold.

The Fool brings that newness and excitement into the mix; October is a great month for adventure and new projects, and also embracing taking risks (and potentially making some mistakes… and being okay with that!).

The only thing to watch out for is that 8 of Wands reversed. Just because new things are on the horizon doesn’t mean you have to rush into all of them right now, as tempting as it may be. This card warns against burning out too quickly.

With a bit of balance and an open mind, October has the potential to be a beautiful month for Cancer!

Leo

The Emperor & 7 of Cups

Leo is taking the reins this month, just as the royal lion is often capable of doing.

The Emperor shows you in a bit of a leadership role right now. Some of you may literally be embracing some titles and status, but some of you may just be calling the shots for your own life and living more fearlessly.

More control means more options, of course. The 7 of Cups warns that it’s possible here to get too lost in thought, wrapped up in what is a “right” or “wrong” choice (when in reality, the right answer probably exists more in a shade of gray instead of black or white).

Even with a bit more control and power, it’s okay to take a risk and be swift and decisive — sometimes, that’s better than watching and waiting.

Virgo

The Star (Reversed) & Page of Wands (Reversed)

Virgo is breaking through some blockages this month, one at a time.

The first blockage comes up in The Star reversed. Areas where you’ve been having a hard time moving forward, healing, and replenishing your reserves are being highlighted here, as it’s important that when you get depleted, you’ll know how to restore your energy moving forward.

And then, the Page of Wands reversed points the finger at blocked passion and spark. You’ll be navigating how to approach those themes with balance and grace and find the line between unnecessary thrill-seeking and playing things too safe.

These lessons can be extremely valuable as you close out the year, so take it all in, Virgo.

Libra

Death & Ace of Swords

Libra is moving strongly, bravely, and quickly into change and transformation.

This month, Death graces your hand with its energy of personal transformation and growth. Sometimes we balk when we see this intense card, but the Ace of Swords urges you to take it on confidently and see what new paths it may have in store for you.

Speak up boldly and clearly, express yourself, and accept some new opportunities this month.

You may come out on the other side feeling like a more authentic, stronger version of yourself.

Scorpio

Temperance & 6 of Cups

Scorpio is spending a lot of time with their heart and creative flow this month.

Temperance highlights the inner alchemy between your heart, mind, body, and soul. It’s where we find a lot of our creativity, and it houses so much beauty, which is also why it’s important to step into this energy with grace, gentleness, and, most importantly, patience.

Scorpio is embracing this complex mixture of themes this month and venturing a bit into the past with the 6 of Cups on the table too. You’re opening up the heart space in more ways than one.

Just remember: this is all about the creative process instead of the outcome.

Sagittarius

The Sun (Reversed) & King of Pentacles

Even when the sun doesn’t shine, Sagittarius still can.

The Sun reversed indicates trouble in paradise. You might be entering this month feeling more pessimistic than usual, not feeling like your usual, bright, optimistic Sagittarian self.

This disconnect with yourself is resolved with the King of Pentacles, however — placing some focus on the things you can control, like work, financial flow, the home, and cultivating routine and structure.

You may not be operating as you “usually” do, but since when are Sagittarius meant to be predictable anyway, right?

Capricorn

Strength (Reversed) & 3 of Cups (Reversed)

When others won’t be the support you need, Capricorn, if anyone, is capable of relying on themselves.

And this month, the 3 of Cups reversed does indeed indicate that emotional affections, ties, and connections are all getting jumbled up and complicated. It might not always be an explosion of conflict, but for many, it will at least feel like you’re more disconnected from others than usual.

As such, Strength reversed implores you to refocus back in on yourself and collect your internal resources, building yourself back up.

There may be imbalance all around you (and potentially even inside you), so it’s time to put everything back in order.

Aquarius

The Tower & 5 of Pentacles (Reversed)

Aquarius, big changes (and some losses) are on the horizon — how will you make the most of it?

Let’s start from the beginning. The Tower shows that, in some ways, your current way of doing things and living your life may be wiped clean. A lot of familiarity and structure may just walk out the door.

And so, the 5 of Pentacles reversed begs the question: will you wallow in defeat or let yourself move on and find something new? Either way, processing a loss of any kind is difficult (even if it’s just a routine or an old part of yourself). It’s important that you let yourself mourn that loss.

However, there’s no point going backwards to try to get it all back. This month is all about how you approach these endings (and write a new beginning).

Pisces

Wheel of Fortune & Ace of Pentacles

You’re entering a new era, Pisces — how will you let it all in?

The Wheel of Fortune teases that fate is on your side and that good luck is on the way, although the Universe tends to be a bit vague sometimes about how this will all go with this card delivering that news. As such, it involves a good amount of trust (in yourself and in something a bit beyond you).

If you’re able to do that, you might also notice blessings and opportunities in the form of the Ace of Pentacles, although the catch with these offerings is that you still must be the one to accept them.

The door is opening. Are you ready to walk through, Pisces?
