Your Sign’s Weekly Tarotscope for August 22 – 28, 2022

Aries

The Devil

Taking the bull by the horns is standard Aries fare.

This week, it’s more of a necessity. The Devil knocks on your door, highlighting the burdens, responsibilities, and temptations that you may be wanting to ignore or toss to the wayside.

However, this isn’t an option anymore; the easy way out left a long time ago, and now is the time to address your baggage.

This may mean hard conversations, honest self-reflection, and, yes, even accepting that sometimes, Aries can’t always win.

Taurus

9 of Swords (Reversed)

Taurus is facing off against some inner demons this week — and winning.

The 9 of Swords is not the most fun energy to see on the table, calling in our anxieties and nightmares, some of the darker stuff that we tackle within the confines of our minds.

However, the reversal hints that Taurus is trying to put this all behind them now. You’re not willing to entertain overthinking or leaning into unproductive thought experiments.

Just remember to not suppress your thoughts but genuinely tackle them, and you’ll be golden, Taurus!

Gemini

7 of Wands

Gemini has been working with this energy-draining suit of Wands for a hot minute now, and this week is no exception.

Although last week the 9 of Wands put you at a standstill and forced you into expending energy on extra caution and watchfulness, the 7 of Wands doesn’t exactly open up the field to anything easier.

You may find that getting stuff done is still an uphill battle this month, but at least you’ll also notice hands-on opportunities to problem-solve and move obstacles out of the way (and no longer will you just be waiting and watching).

Cancer

8 of Cups (Reversed)

Cancer, the intuition doesn’t lie, and it’s time for you to trust in that.

The 8 of Cups is a very clear knock on the door — a reminder that sometimes stuff looks alright on paper but just feels wrong internally, even if you can’t explain why.

Reversed, you may feel resistant to accept these nudges and wonder if you’re overthinking things. However, it’s important that you trust yourself and listen to that inner voice.

Your heart knows the answers even when the “voice of reason” dissents.

Leo

4 of Wands (Reversed)

This week it’s really not you, Leo — it’s them.

That is to say, this week is not really your week for coordinating and connecting with others.

Although a typically joyous card for interactions with your network and loved ones, the reversal of the 4 of Wands makes this week more contentious in this area.

Take some deep breaths and place attention on yourself instead. A blockage in one part of your life is not all gloom and doom.

Virgo

King of Swords (Reversed)

“Too much of a good thing” is the warning for Virgo this week.

The King of Swords points the finger at leadership and communication, and we know that Virgo tends to often know how to do that well, as you have been exercising those abilities in past weeks.

However, the reversal of this card hints that it may be time to pass the baton; even if you’re ready to speak, it’s possible that right now everyone isn’t exactly ready to listen.

Libra

Wheel of Fortune

Ready to go with the flow, Libra? Ready or not, the Universe’s flow is ready for you.

The Wheel of Fortune moves at the beat of its own drum; it reminds us that sometimes “good luck” and fortune mean trust falling a bit into circumstances that possibly even don’t seem shiny and glamorous on the surface.

Accepting good luck and blessings may indeed come with this caveat for you this week, Libra.

So, how will you move with, rather than against, the current?

Scorpio

5 of Wands (Reversed)

Scorpio is plugging their ears and not listening to the drama.

The 5 of Wands hints that there may be a bit of chaos on the schedule this week. People may be engaging in petty behaviors or gossip, and it’s not clear where conflicts even started, but they sure seem to be out and about.

Reversed, it’s best that you try to avoid this strange energetic weather altogether.

Scorpios have a knack for going into their “own world” anyway, and now is an ideal time to exercise that skill!

Sagittarius

6 of Pentacles

Sagittarius is the wild adventurer, and you tend to collect quite a bit of good tidbits and ideas on your way.

This week, the 6 of Pentacles invites you to share the wealth. Not every Sagittarius will be able to give charitably with money or time, but every Sagittarius does have wealth in knowledge and ideas.

The key is not to advise people who aren’t asking for help but to just share your thoughts and ideas openly, honestly, and generously, without trying to persuade or necessarily get anything in return.

Capricorn

Ace of Wands

Capricorn is ready to go! The Ace of Wands lights up your week with fervor.

You may be feeling the heat this week, but in a good way. This card brings passion, spark, and new ideas to the forefront.

Practical Capricorn is usually the first to put pen to paper and try to understand how things might logically and practically unfold. However, this week it’s best to let your ideas flow in and out.

So let the element of Fire into your life right now, and find that flow of passion within you.

Aquarius

3 of Wands (Reversed)

Aquarius, pause — your goals and ideas are great but not ready for full pursuit quite yet.

The 3 of Wands is kind of like our ships coming back to port; we wait for our adventures and rewards to come in here and know that we’ve sent off some of our best investments and intentions already.

Reversed, it’s not time for this energy yet. You might sense inklings of it surrounding your week – as if you have something on the tip of your tongue. But it’s just not coming out properly right now.

And that’s ok. The best remedy for this discomfort? Patience.

Pisces

The Lovers (Reversed)

Pisces may be feeling a bit lost in the heart this week.

What does this mean? Well, The Lovers reversed indicates that when it comes to love, choices, and following your heart’s desire, you may just be feeling a bit out of sync with what’s “right.”

This sense of confusion is not foreign to dreamy Pisces, but that doesn’t make it any less uncomfortable.

Try not to rush into major decisions and hold space for difficult emotions that may arise.

Busy Astrology, Busy Schedule

It’s true that an astrologically busy week may seem intimidating on the surface.

This might also even be true for a busy or “negative” Tarot card that arises for you. In reality, the stars and cards only describe what already exists, and chances are, you’ve undergone quite a few tricky experiences already in your life similar to these.

The cards and stars merely provide us the language to understand these experiences and also — perhaps most importantly — give us the heads up about what more is on the table for us.

The schedule may be busy with or without your knowledge of these things, but with this knowledge, you now know how to approach the calendar!
